The Tuesday after Thanksgiving has become one of the biggest days for charitable donations each year for nonprofits across the U.S.

States have until Dec. 11 to certify their election results, and the fact that many haven’t yet is not a sign of fraud.

Several organizations and people donated money for the roughly $40,000 bed. The family is also hoping for a handicap-accessible van.

Federal prosecutors laid out the communication between defendants the morning after the $120,000 bribe attempt.
